The City of East Ridge is known as the gateway to Tennessee. East Ridge is a city in Hamilton County, Tennessee with a population of 22,000 citizens. East Ridge is bordered by the City of Chattanooga to the west, north, and east and the State of Georgia to the south. East Ridge is a part of the Chattanooga, TN-GA Metropolitan area. The City of East Ridge has a total area of 8.3 square miles and became an incorporated city in 1921. The City of East Ridge celebrated the 100-year anniversary of operating a municipal government in 2021.
